Bringing his own blue collar upbringing to his role as famous Boston-based boxer “Irish” Mickey Ward, Mark Wahlberg was snapped strutting around the film set of The Fighter today (July 13) in Lowell, MA.

Stepping out of the makeup trailer with some artificial boxing injuries, the hunky 38-year-old actor was dressed in an outfit indicative of the film’s early 1980’s theme.

Later, he could be seen walking out in costume in a smart vest, reminiscent of his early days as none other than Marky Mark.
